The Tulare County District Attorney’s office wanted to draw attention to Human Trafficking. One of the best ways to do this was to create short PSA’s to run on the local television stations. The message needed to not only be broadcast over the community airwaves, but also speak directly to the men and women, teens and children who are oppressed by the life altering and bondage of human trafficking.
District Attorney Tim Ward would lend his appearance to speak boldly against the plight of human trafficking. We would also produce to “scenarios” a labor worker and a young girl victims of trafficking. The PSA’s would also need to broadcast an English version as well as a Spanish one.
Working directly with the DA’s office and their marketing team, and 3B Digital Studios a script was solidified, locations scouted, talent cast we were ready to shoot. The locations were inside an orange grove just outside on Visalia, California as well as in an alley in the cities downtown area. The weather was perfect, with just a few takes the talent delivered compelling characters and the story of human trafficking came to life after post-production finished creating the spots.
Approximately six months later, a significant human trafficking bust happened in Tulare County. Together with the PSA’s, law enforcement and a concentrated effort to broadcast a much needed message.
